The Rare Disease That Binds Sisters Together Megan Kaverman and her sister Katie Gusching have been on a journey of misdiagnosis, perseverance, and hope after both were diagnosed with heritable pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a rare genetic disorder that affects the small arteries in the lungs.
