ICE's Unholy Interference in a Nun's Sunday Routine The detention of Sister Leticia Ugboaja, a 56 year old Nigerian born nun living and working in Texas, has sparked outrage over the Trump administration's aggressive immigration tactics.
On June 28, as she walked to church for Sunday Mass, ICE officers took her into custody.
Ugboaja had been granted protection from removal to Nigeria due to concerns about torture, but despite this, ICE planned to remove her to another country under the Trump administration's third country removal policy.
