Alleged Irish Crime Boss Charged in Dublin After Extradition from Dubai The extradition of Daniel Kinahan, a man once named as one of the leaders of the notorious Kinahan Organised Crime Group, has finally brought him within striking distance of Irish justice.
Remanded in custody on Sunday after being handed over to Irish authorities by the UAE, Kinahan's presence at Dublin's Special Criminal Court was met with an unusual level of security.
Armed police guarded the courthouse entrance as crowds watched and recorded on their phones the brief hearing, which concluded with Kinahan being told that a bail application would need to be made through the High Court.
